Perseus Racing is the Formula Student team of the University of Western Macedonia, with a primary mission to design and manufacture single seater race cars.
Driven by a shared passion for engineering, innovation, and collaboration, our students aim to compete and stand out in international Formula Student competitions
Our team was founded in 2014 and has since successfully manufactured three combustion race cars and one electric race car, participating in Formula Student competitions held in Italy, Hungary, the United Kingdom, and the Czech Republic.
The Formula Student competition began in 1981 in the United States and quickly evolved into the world's leading university engineering competition. Over time, it became firmly established in Europe as the ultimate competition where students can showcase their engineering skills and innovations through the design and manufacture of FSAE race cars.
Each participating team is required to demonstrate its expertise in two main competition categories: static and dynamic events
The team's first electric race car, which participated in Formula Student Czech Republic in 2024.
The team's third combustion race car, which competed in Formula Student Italy in 2021.
The second combustion race car, an evolution of the first model. It competed in the Formula Student Italy and Hungary competitions in 2018.
The team's first combustion race car, which competed in the Formula Student Italy competition in 2017.
